Can't install Rhiannon Curse of Four Branches

I bought Rhiannon from Amazon UK. Its the PC DVDrom, in case you're wondering. I use Vista so it should be compatible. Anyway I put the disk in and waited. I didn't do anything. I went into my computer and was confused, because there wasn't an icon to click on.

Please tell me, I'm not only one!

So is this a hardware problem or a software problem or both?
Is the CDrom/DVDrom driver damaged?
More importantly what can be done about it....if anything?

I already feel that this game was a waste of money.

You put the disk in and there was no cd detected in the CD/DVD-drive? Do you have any other cd/dvd's you could try and see if they work or trying the cd or a friends/other computer?

I tried two other Cds and they didn't work either. I'm going to try on my laptop.

If the other two cd's don't work it sounds like a defective cd/dvd-driver. If it works on your laptop, we may have to investigate more. Your computer is a desktop right(one that doesn't detect)? dvd-drivers are fairly cheap I believe they are around $20 USD.
