what's an editor window?

about 4 monthes ago I was looking through the files on my computer and found 3 Street Fighter games (Street Fighter EX 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Marvel vs. Street Fighter to be precise.) I didn't install 'em, don't know who did or care why, what I do care about is figuring why everytime I try and start one a window pops up and says:

"you need to run this script from the editor window in order to set up directplay"

please help

It sounds like they are all mods of something, or perhaps a module for an emulation device, what is the extention of the programs?

Also, try right clicking, go to run as then click administrator.

well the shortcuts in my start menu say they lead to an application and I tried running it as an admin and it didn't work
