Civilization IV install problems

Hey guys I was wondering if someone can help me out. I just got a new computer, and the civilization iv game and expansion pack. I tried to install it by putting in the first disc, I chose express install. After hitting express install the disc preceeded to a dvd menu, which only gave me options to watch a couple trailers and nothing else. I tried putting in the 2nd and 3rd disc and nothing comes up. Now for some reason it wont even let me re-install or remove program(program does not even come up in programs). If anyone can help me out it wold be greatly appreciated. I am not very computer smart.

Welcome to TSF!!

Can you flesh some stuff out for me. You say that you "treid to install it by putting in the first disk" are you talking about Civ IV or the Expansion? I would recommend that you try uninstalling it wit Revo Uninstaller, then install it again.
