Problem re-installing cod 4
Okay, so I have 2 problems here. When I bought cod 4 it installed just fine. The gameplay on single player was running great. Then I moved on to multiplayer. The first problem was I couldn't find ANY servers. I clicked refresh but nothing happened. I had punk buster installed but it didn't help either. So I decided to uninstall cod 4 from the control panel. When I ran the program again from the hard drive, it said I had to uninstall it but I already did. I clicked it but nothing happened, it just closed out. I tried to fix one problem and got tangled in another. But hey, I suck with computers. Can anyone help me?

Re: Problem re-installing cod 4
Thanks, but just like Windows Uninstall (from the control panel), Revo does not recognize the program as even there to begin with.
Meanwhile clicking on the DVD calls up the menu (showing options Singleplay, Multiplay, Uninstall (nb), Extras, Links, Support, and Quit) but does nothing (except vacate the screen) when either Singleplay, Multiplay, or Uninstall is selected. The system (DELL XPS) s/b able to handle it. Do you think it is a (suddenly-gone-) bad DVD? I took it out, wiped it off, put it in the second drive, and same thing. And besides, it loaded fine the first time until I selected multiple user. Thanks much |

Re: Problem re-installing cod 4
I don't think it's the dvd. I think your cod4 folder is missing some files. You can check if the dvd has gone "bad" by seeing if there is any scracthes that happened recently. Have you been messing with the cod4 folder as in deleting files and such?
