Sims 3 HELP

Hey,
I purchased The Sims 3 yesterday. I installed it on to my computer (xp) and when it finished, the game launcher came up. As soon as I pressed the game launch button, it told me to type in my veritification code, I typed it in and it told me to type it in again. I typed it in again, but it still kept on coming up.
Help please, I spent $90 on this and I do not want it to go to waste.

Make sure u type it very carefully and it is case sensitive.

Do I put any "-" in it? Lower case?
Ive tried with and without, it still doesn't work. :S :(

Get your money back, or exchange. Or call or email tech support from
the game. The addy should be on the box, or the cd case.

Make sure you're typing it in correctly. Capitalisation is important. Also, make sure you aren't mistaking 0 for O or something similar.

The 0 O thing messes me up sometimes, or the 8 B....
