Fifa Manager Uninstall Patches

Hi

Brand new to the forum, just having some problems with my Fifa Manager 08, the game was working fine until i installed three patches which was available for it , now the game doesn't load up, it opens the ea logo and then goes black.

i was just wondering is it possible to remove the patches without uninstalling the whole game?

i'd appreciate any suggestions.

Hi, welcome to TSF

Patches usually rewrite the main exe file and other system files related to the game, and sometimes edit the registry, so it's much easier to just backup your saves and reinstall the game rather than trying to fix it manually.

In most cases, it's not possible to uninstall the patch to roll back to the original version as there is no backup of the patched files.

Have you checked the FIFA08 forums to see if this is a common problem?

Did you follow the instructions and install the patches in the right order?

Did you download them from a reputable site?

Did you test the game after each patch so you could pinpoint which one caused the problem?

Thanks for the reply, yes all the patches where downloaded from the EA Website so they are the official ones, the only thing i didnt do is check the game between patches i just installed the three patches one after the other, ill go check the ea forums but I may be better just re-installing the whole game...thanks for the information
