I have a similar problem...you see, i had downloaded a copy of the original game 2 years ago but it didnt include the clone campaign... It was not an iso of the disk but rather a file containing everything all i did was play the battlegrounds.exe and it worked...
I now bought the clone saga 2disk game for $10 at this local computer store but when i try to install, same message as above. Since i never installed it in the first place, i just deleted all the file but the problem still occurs I assume the downloaded copy automatically placed a registry key or something and maybe thats what i need to delete it as i tried the revo unistaller and it cant find anything. Does anyone know what the reg key is called? or an alternative to the problem? thanks |

Re: SWGB Installation problem.
Hi TheCrazier, welcome to TSF.
Normally we do not offer support for pirated games, but in this case you are asking how to remove it so that is fine. While I don't know the exact keys that the game creates, you should be able to find them. Before doing this make sure you back up your registry. Go Start -> Run and type 'regedit'. Once in the Registry press CTRL+F and search for 'Galactic Battlegrounds'. Then delete anything related to the game (it should be fairly obvious). Then try reinstalling. |

Re: SWGB Installation problem.
Have you ever checked your downloads folder? or Documents and Settings, I know sometimes when you download things files go into one of those folders
