Microsoft Flight Simulation X Acceleration
I purchased Acceleration in Oct 2008 and installed it with no trouble and everything worked fine. I was having problems with FSX and decided to delete and reinstall everything. FSX works OK after installation but I am unable to get the Acceleration disc to work. It did go through the install procedure the first time but as a number of things were unsatisfactory I did another complete uninstall and reinstalled of both FSX and Acceleration. Unfortunately I cannot make progress after inserting the disc. The FSX icon appears named FSX XPack (D) but when clicking on the icon it flashes and a message comes up on the screen for a microsecond so brief that it is impossible to read* then nothing happens.
*I have just been able to read the message 'Windows installer - Preparing to install, Any ideas? |

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulation X Acceleration
Quote:
![]() You have to install Service Pack 1 before you can install Acceleration. You can find the download here. Once you have that installed, reboot your computer, then insert your Acceleration Disk. Also note, that you DO NOT NEED Service Pack 1A, unless you have the Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK installed; if you don't even know what that is, no worries... Everything should work fine then.... Let me know... ![]() Sven2157 |
