Re: problem with instalation Fable TLC
Hi Chicken Chaser, welcome to TSF.
First, go into 'Add/Remove Programs' and make sure Fable isn't listed in there anymore. It may not have uninstalled correctly. Second, what is the folder you are trying to install it to? Do you have Administartor rights on this PC? |

Re: problem with instalation Fable TLC
yes, i do, as it is my own computer and i always try to create a new map to avoid the erromessage but it always just keeps popping up, the location of my new map is usually in the program files folder.

Re: problem with instalation Fable TLC
go to C:\program files
find a folder named : InstallShield Installation Information it's hidden so you need to show hidden files (tools -> folder options-> view check "Show hidden files..." now delete the InstallShield Installation Information folder and try to install the game again

Re: problem with instalation Fable TLC
If RockmasteR's fix doesn't work.
Try going C:\program Files\Common Files. Then rename the InstallShield folder to something like InstallShield_Old. Last edited by Tiber Septim; 03-25-2009 at 11:52 PM. Reason: Merged DP |

Re: problem with instalation Fable TLC
This is an odd one.
Is it possible to post a screenshot of the error you are getting when you try and re-install it? To do so, just hit the 'Prt Scr' key when the image is on your screen, then open up Paint, select Edit -> Paste. Then save the image somewhere as a .Jpg file and attach it here. How did you uninstall it when you got that error the last time? Did you simply delete the folder/s? Or did you use 'Add/Remove Programs' to remove it? |
