SIMS 2 doube deluxe installation problems

I'm having problems installing my brand new Sims 2 Deluxe game. Everytime I put it in it says "Please instert disc 1."

To ask the obvious

is this a 2 disk set?
Have you tried the other disk if it is?

sometimes disks aren't labeled and I want to strangle the makers of the of discs
