Half-Life 2 reinstall help

I ran Half-Life 2 on a computer that had two hard drives. The slave drive (drive D: on mine) was where hl2 was installed and that drive recently crashed and burned. I've tried to reinstall on my main drive (drive c:), but get error message as it keeps looking for drive d: to modify. I've tried removing from Add/Remove programs list, but same error message. Is there any way I can remove this from my computer's registry so I can make a clean install??

Try this.
Start > Run > Type 'regedit' and press Enter > 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' > 'Software' > 'Valve'.

Then delete the Half-Life folder.
Try and re-install then.
