counterstrike'hafe life 2 installing issues

okay i put the counterstrike disk in my e drive it reads the disc for a bit then stops nothing happens i go into my computer and try double clicking on the e drive a screen pops for a second completely blank and disappears how can i fix this is it my game my drive or sotware i bought to copys of the game just to elminate the game itself out
