Troubles installing battlefield 2
I just got a new laptop and wanted to put BF2 on it.
The first 2 disks (CD version), installed fine with no problems. But when the third disk goes in the installer just minimizes it self and freezes (wont bring itself back up etc). It will just sit there and I have to end the process (even though, according to task manager the process is responding). I checked my disk and its in pristine condition and I installed it on another computer to check to see if it works and it does. What is weird though is that my computer thinks that BF2 is installed. There is a start menu entry etc for it, but when you try to boot the game it says that there is an error etc. Finally when I go to uninstall the game from the control panel, it gives me an error message (error code 5001). Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
