XBox controller problem...

I bought a used XBox about a year ago and it's been working fine...

...Except recently I've had a problem where the XBox won't recognize when I push the left thumbstick to the right. If I disconnect then reconnect the controller it will work fine for a minute or two, then go back.

I've tried a few different controllers and each port but still have the same problem... any ideas?

Game Stop, explain to them your problem it may just be your controller setting or the x box as been tampered with
