Game cube mem card

ok some one plese tell me if i should return my game cube ok i put my mem card in slot a and it works for every game but it dose not work for metrode prime and my game cube says i could format it but i will lose all my games if i put it in b slot it works and the game cube finds it but i cant play the game metrode prime when it is in b slot so what do i do, i do not want to lose my saved games

are you sure that you have enough space left on the card?

You could just be out of space, and that's why it wants to format the card?
