PSP R button malfunctioning

Hey all! I am having difficulties with my PSP R button malfunctioning during gameplay with Tiger Woods 06. I can use it for the power boost, but once my shot is hit, it will not function for the spin feature. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but it had been working for the first week I was playing the game. I am not having trouble with the button in any other game or function. Thanks in advance!

Do you think it could actually be the UMD? If it doesn't apply to any other game, I would think the problem lays with the UMD itself, UMD's can still be scratched, and much easier then you might imagine.

thanks

Thanks for the reply. I cleaned the UMD and there are no visible scratches. It still is not working properly. If there are any other suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Odd. Have you tried renting another Tiger Woods 06 game and seeing if the same thing applies to it? Because if it doesn't, then that means your UMD is somehow scratched to where you can't see it, or something of that nature.
