PSP problem!!!!

Today I turn on my psp and see this very weird spot as if it was pressed to hard on but i just got it on thanksgiving and barely played the PSP. I need advice on how should i deal with it. Should i call sony???????????????? plz help!

This spot - does it look like a calculator screen after you've pressed on it, ie weird flowing colours fading around the pressure point, or is it a very defined area with distinct borders?

Also, does this only appear when the system is on, or is it still visible if the system is off?

In general, problems such as this would normally warrant a call to the manufacturer. They may well have seen this problem before, and if it is a hardware fault you should be able to get a replacement quickly.
