Problems Hooking Up Gamecube
Usually I play my gamecube in my room, But since im going to be alone today (party) I want to play my cube in the living room. So I took out my RF adapter and hooked it up to the living room TV, (its dated no a/v input) BUT I get nothing on the TV except the blink when I press the power button. Another thing is we have a cable box (those things that are bigger than the xbox) and it has a/v input. I tried hooking the cube up w/my a/v cable into the cable box instead of the RF adapter into my tv, didn't work. Now I don't know what to do to get it to work. Can anyone help?
And yes I have it plugged in. Last edited by xDRx; 12-03-2005 at 01:28 PM. |

UMM... all i can think of is: check on RF adapter to channel settings, somethimes it has a choice between channels 3 and 4, make sure that is set to the right channel and your TV is also, OR, pluge the RF adapter into the cable port on the direct back of the TV, you know the part the is mounted on the TV that you screw the cable line onto, not sure what it is called, that all i can think of that could be wrong

second that motion. Make sure the TV is set to the appropriate settings for the RF adaptor, and make sure all cables are snug.
If you do the Cable box, you may need to set it to an "AV" or "Line IN" or "Input" channel so it will read from the cable box, then set the TV to be used regularly by the cable box.
