Help with ps3 please anyone

So i traded my excellent working xbox for a ps3 but came to find out it wasn't working ... so i decided to try to fix it i thought it was the power supply so i ordered it, and it arrived today i placed it turned on same problem... so what happens is i press the power button it goes to green turns on for a few seconds then it gets the red light and turns off and keeps flashing the red... if anyone can help me or tell me what the problem is i would greatly appreciate it thank you very much. and ive done all the holding the button for a few seconds to hear the sound and get a screen it wont work the only thing that does work is holding the eject button and hearing the fans and after that is done it goes to the same flashing red and doesnt turn on.

Dude its broke theirs realy not any thing u can do to fix it
