Re: Original XBOX diagonal lines
Could you post any pictures? Your Xbox could be damaged or overheating. At which point is this occuring?

Re: Original XBOX diagonal lines
Here is what it looks like:
![]() I think it may be RF interference. The lines do not occur on my living room television. They occur on my computer room television, but they disappear if I disconnect the coax and move it away from the TV. However, in my room, the lines occur whether the coax is connected or not. The confined nature of the space makes it impossible to move the cord away from the television. The thing is, I do not have this problem with my Dreamcast, SNES, NES, N64, or Genesis under the same conditions. Is there something about the XBOX that makes it prone to RF interference? It is an early model original XBOX. If it is RF interference, what can be done? Any ideas? |

Re: Original XBOX diagonal lines
I tried removing all device inputs from my television and the intensity of the lines decreased, but they were still present. Apparently, it's not just the RF. Every single device connected to the TV contributes to the problem. I had a thought that since I am using a third party a/v cord, maybe the quality is less. Perhaps if I switched to a Microsoft a/v cord, the problem would go away.

Re: Original XBOX diagonal lines
I see you have a Sony WEGA TV. Have you tried S-Video or anything?
