PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Hi
I have had COD4 MW for ages and have been playing online without any problems, now all of a sudden i cannot enter downpour or crossfire, when i do the loading bar at the bottom takes a while to reach complete then it throws me back into the lobby. Has anyone else experienced this and has anyone got a solution??? Thanks Tonyp |

Re: PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Were those maps downloaded before?
Are you able to play those maps offline? I'm not a ps3 technician, but issues like that usually involve corrupted data. Is it possible to clear the cache? |

Re: PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Hi Steve
The maps are the basic maps you get with the game, no downloading required and yes they do work offline. I have tried them with my partners account also on the same PS3 and get the same. Thanks |

Re: PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Ok Tony, I don't believe it's a cd issue or a cache issue. But lets go ahead and clear it so we can remove that aside (Browser -> Triangle -> Tools -> Clear Cache)
Now Tony, has ANYTHING changed on your network set up before you started to have this problem? Please post network set up and NAT type. |

Re: PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Hi Steve
I have recently updated to the new version, im usually up to speed with the updates. The only thing i can put my finger on is a network problem with the two maps, when i load into them and the load bar fills up there is a couple of seconds where i can hear the other players, then it silences, then kicks me back into the lobby, this is with crossfire, Downpour on the other hand takes even longer, and was the first of the two to start with the problems, i originally thought the problems might be to do with the new game modern warfare 2 being tested, i have heard that some of the maps from mw1 are being included in mw2. |

Ok Tony, what type of router and modem do you use?
Also, do you connect with the ethernet cord or do you have a wireless connection to your xbox?

Re: PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare problems
Tony, i don't own a PS3 myself so i can't really tell you what to do.
I own a xbox 360 where games such as Halo 3 also has these problems. The first thing i would do is clean the disc with an special cleaning paper made for computer stuff. Also, check if your NAT settings are open. |
