[Xbox360] Surround Sound

Hello,

I just want to make 1 last confirmation before I do my purchase. I'm trying to get my Xbox360 to have surround sound. My TV/Surround sound/360 is set-up like this:

Xbox360 is connected to TV with HD-component cable, and the TV is connected to the receiver with an HDMI cable. I found out that I need a toslink optical cable to have surround sound, so I'm about to buy one. Just to make sure, if I connect the Xbox360's HD-component cable (it has an optical out) to the surround sound (it has optical in Digital In) with a toslink optical cable, will it have surround sound?

P.S. my xbox360 is an old version so it doesn't have the HDMI port.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, this will work. I know because I use the exact same setup as you!
