my ps3 menu screen is fuzzy

can you tell me how to fix the ps3 if i can fix it, the menu screen is fuzzy it will not play games either now as of today. i can't change any opitions since i can't read them. i worked fine untill i plug in the hdmi cable and loaded one of the updates on a different game. i have never been online with it.

Hello and welcome to TSF.
Did you set the PS3 to HDMI mode? Try doing that. Also, ensure that your TV is in an HDMI mode.
