(Xbox 360) Can't download update?

So, i'veh had my 360 for some time now, and I have been able to download and connect to live just fine. Now, around two weeks ago, I got a new connection (8 mb), and a new modem (Zyxel p2602HWT) along with it. After that, however, I cannot seem to get the connection working again.
I did a connection test. Everything is ok until I get to the xbox live part. When the little green bar goes half full, a message about the latest update pops up. It begins "downloading", but after a while of no progress, it just gives me your common error message. So after turning off my modems firewall, and restarting the modem, I can download the update. The system reboots itself, and when it says "applying update" I get the same error message after a while.

ALSO, I'd like to add that I tried connection my ps3 up, and it works. Downloaded update just fine. So this brings the question, something up with XBOX live at the moment, or my connection not liking my 360?

Please help! I'd very much like to get this sorted out!

Was in doubt if this went in networking or console, decided to put it here.
