problem with the blue light

i have an annoying problem.since the last upgrade of my ps3 ,after placing a game the blue light gets steadily on and doesn`t turn off.besides it is unable of playing dvds.please help!

Hello moonsorrow!

Try this:

Turn your TV on and go to the input where you play PS3 on.
Make sure the PS3 is connected to the TV using the right cable.
With the PS3 off, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Make sure to let go at the second beep.

This will reset the PS3.
