X-Box 360 - Connecting to live via bridged connections?
Hi all, first post!
![]() I want to get onto Live but I can't afford to buy a wireless adaptor. The 360 is sitting on top of my PC which connects wirelessly to the router so I connected the 360 to the ethernet port on the PC and bridged the connections and it is showing that it has an IP address (192.168.1.67) and is giving the IP address of the router (192.168.1.254) as the gateway but it won't connect to internet/Live any ideas? When running the network test it detects the network fine but fails when it tries to detect internet. |

- If you want an alternative and efficient step: You want to open control panel and select network connections, right click the wireless connection (the one that gives you internet) and click properties. Click on the advanced tab and check the box asking "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection". Then in the drop down box, select your Xbox connection (which should be called Local Area Connection) OS may vary.
