Media server - Video sharing
Ive been trying to find out how to watch videos directly from my laptop through my ps3 via a media server. Now Ive managed to use windows media player as a media server but It only wants to allow me to share music
But its a small success, now I want to be able to either stream with no lag or copy files directly from my laptop, using an ethernet cable by the way! Is there a specific media server I should use? Or something I should do differently? Im running off vista also! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Media server - Video sharing
I was using the Zune software until I got Windows Media Player 11 running. But this is to an XBox 360, not a PS3.
Google TVersity.

Re: Media server - Video sharing
Hey thanks for getting back, yeh I got tversity and installed it with all the extras, I added it to my exceptions in windows firewall, added media into the tversity library but now as I plug it into the ps3, the ps3 cant find any media servers? Is this a standard fault do you think? Or is there maybe a more ps3 friendly video media server you could suggest?
