PS3 picture problems
My problem started after I downloaded a DEMO. I had it turn the PS3 off once FIght night was downloaded. I attempted to start it back up and got nothing. Power lights and fan turned on but no picture.
I followed these steps... Turn off the PS3 system using the main power switch on the back. Unplug the AC power cord from the wall socket. Turn off and unplug the TV or device that the PS3 system is or will be connected. Then, with only the PLAYSTATION®3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution. And it worked, i clicked into the DEMO and screen went black. Does this have to do somtheing with the frequency? I would think it's a software issue that is throwing the picture off. Do i need to some how re set the settings? and if so how? I did, however, recognize that my fan seemed louder then normal. |

Re: PS3 picture problems
If you don't mind losing your information/game saves/etc., then you can try this to revert to factory state:
http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/2_60/settings/restoreps3.html Otherwise, back up your data to a USB drive first. |
