Nintendo DS WiFi Problems
Hey People
I'm having troubles connecting my DS to my home wireless network and thought who better to ask than the guys at techsupportforum (after troubleshooting and forum searching obviously =]) OK so it would really help if anyone who responds to my post uses a DS online because then they'll know the steps I'm taking, though I would be extremely helpful to anyone who thinks they can help So my problem, simply, is I can't connect my DS to my home wireless network (for these frequented with the DS) I boot up my game, click WiFi settings, New, click Search For Access Points, click the only avaliable network (mine), enter WEP key which is accepted, test connnection (full signal) and then get the error: "52000" unable to obtain an IP address, check DHCP settings (dont know what the last part means) so I then manually enter my IP address (can tell if necessary?) enter subnet mask manually enter gateway manually and enter DNS manually (have no idea what any of that means =D) then i test the connection again (full signal) now I get the error: 52100: unable to connect to nintendo wi-wi connection. confirm connection settings and access point settings thats where I'm stuck =/ helpful information: checked my router against nintendos compatible's its a belkin..something =D and its compatible my computer is a reciever as my dads is the transmitter (for the network) the ps3 and wii are connected fine i just thought, maybe my dads computer/internet details are different to mine and i need to enter his? anyone with any advice would be thanked from the bottom of my heart =D and also any more information needed will be given thankyou all |
