[Regular] XBox Won't Play Certain Games

I got Fable The Lost Chapters[Platinum Hits] from my friend, and put it in my Xbox. It went through, and a image showed up with several different languages, saying to put the DVD in a computer.

That was with the DVD adapter plugged into it. I took it out, and put the disk back in, and it said that I need a DVD adapter to play the DVD.

Any ideas on how to get the game to play? Dx

Nope. There's barely any scratches. It played just fine in her XBox. I'm not sure if it's been burned. There's no remains or anything like carbon traces or whatnot.

Please, we don't have time for silly sarcastic remarks. Is this a game that was not bought from a store? ex: was it downloaded and put onto a disk? or from some company that did not develop the game?

My apologies for anything that might have appeared as sarcasm, as nothing was meant to be. I work in a chem. lab, and was being thorough in my description as much as possible.

It was bought brand new from Best Buy, and played about 4 times before I got it.

Are you sure you have the DVD player Region settings set to play DVD's from your country?
If the game was NOT bought from Russia, then put your Regional settings on your DVD player to whatever country the game was bought from.

It's a XBox, not a dvd player, so i'm not even sure if it's possible to change the settings. The Xbox was bought in Texas. So was the DVD adapter, and the Fable game.
