OS: windows 7 Release Candidate
|
Hi all, just joined the site and already have a dilemma...
My laptop is running Windows 7 Release Candidate and my internet connection is through a USB Broadband Modem. I want to connect my old XBox to my laptop using an Ethernet cable to connect to XBox Live, however I'm currently having no luck setting the IP addresses on either the console or laptop. When I tried to configure my XBox 360 to connect to the Internet through the laptop by changing the connection settings for the Modem it worked no problem (If a little slow..) ![]() Would anybody here be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong, or should I try to sort it using a hammer and a blowtorch??????? Currently the old XBox is telling me no cables are connected![]() ![]() Thanks in advance!!!! |

Re: Connecting old Xbox to Laptop
If your modem supports both usb and ethernet connection interface, only one can be used at a time not both. Also sniper wolf is right, if your using the usb connection you'll need a device driver that isn't automatic like the ethernet connection. If you were running xp it would work. Also let me ask you a personal question. Why bother with the original xbox unless your planning to mod it?
