Xbox 360 sticker switch.

Hello everyone.
My xbox 360 got the 3 red rings, and i have ran out of warranty.
My friend also got the 3 red rings but still had warranty, however he didn't realsie and took his console apart, voiding his warranty.

SO yesterday, i replaced all my labels with his(the large label on the back of the console, the label above the power input and the label under the usb flap) so now i have his serial number on the back of mine.

My friend then logged on to xbox.com and issued a repair, so now UPS are coming to pick up my console with his stickers on it, on tuesday.
Do you think this will work or will Microsoft be able to tell i have switched the stickers?

Thanks

Re: Xbox 360 sticker switch.

Probably, unless you did a good job at pasting it correctly with no air bumps or anything, then yeah, they will notice.

Re: Xbox 360 sticker switch.

They have no air bubbles at all, i was just wondering if they would look in the system settings through the dashboard and find out the console serial number/id didn't match up.

I was hoping to find out if anyone has tried this and did it actually work or not?

Thanks

Re: Xbox 360 sticker switch.

It's likely that there will also be some sort of serial number inside the unit. Probably on the motherboard.

Regardless, we can't help any further with this as it is against forum rules to provide assistance with illegal activities.
