Xbox 360 Bridging problem

Hi Guys

im attempting to connect my xbox wirelessely to the internet to use xbox live. i recearched online to finding a way around buying the wireless adaptor for £60. the way i found is to connect the xbox to a laptop and access it through the laptop wirelessely. In the process you have to bridge the wired and wireless connection together. however when i try to bridge them together i get an error message. below is a screenshot of the instructions and an examle of someone bridging the connections together, and to the right is my attempt with the message:



What am i doing wrong or what do i need to do. I know its possible to do so trying my hardest to solve it lol

Have you gone to the properties and made the connections private? It won't let you bridge the connections unless both are private I think.


I'll test it out and get back to you.

ive made them private and still no luck. when you watch it on youtube it looks so easy they can get connected first time

have you tried to bridge any other connections like your tower or anything? I remember I had to turn off sharing in the properties of both connections but that was it.

Right it has bridge connected however got another problem. when connecting to live it says my NAT settings is Moderate. Now i know that you can change it to open on your router, however is there any other way of doing it becaus the router im using is my dads companies router and have password us out of changing the settings.

What should i do?

You could always try shutting off the router for a minute(no more no less) and then restarting it. Ive gotten the same message before and that worked for me. Most issues like that just need a simple 1 mintue restart for the router.
