monitor-ps2 setup help!

hi i wanted to know if what im about to do will work with my ps2 on my monitor

im trying to run my ps2 on my monitor without the use of any tvtuner cards or converter boxes.

i have this monitor atm

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236053
which supports DVI HDMI and VGA

currently my HDMI is being used by my xbox360 and DVI being used by my PC

so i wanted to use the VGA to run my ps2, and realizing that ps2 gives me the 3 RCA jacks (the white yellow and red cables) i needed a adapter of somesort and i came across this.

http://www.buy.com/prod/infocus-vesa...203171097.html

although this adapter is supposedly should be used for projectors, it seems to have the VGA end with 3 female RCA.

and im guessing the VGA is the d-sub which they call it or something

will this adapter work to convert the ps2 RCA cables to hookup to the VGA(d-sub) connection thats left of my monitor?

please help me!
thanks!

Re: monitor-ps2 setup help!

As already said in your own topic made on a other forum

nope, it wont work.

The yellow, white and red cables out of your PS2 carry audio and video signal (yellow is video, rest are audio)

The inputs on that adapter are called component, hence the different colour. This is for transferring higher quality video signal only, it works on a digital system, whereas the cables from your PS2 work on analogue. They are totally incompatible.

I'll have a look to see if such a cable that your after exists, and get back to you.
