xbox freezing fix

hi
i brought my self a faulty 360 from ebay which had a very bad freezing problem but with no RROD,
i spent a week trying to work out the problem, The main reason of Xbox 360 freezing is the overheating

of the console graphics card. Xbox 360 is one of the powerful gaming consoles, however it is just packed in a small box and therefore the components inside the box get heated and due to overheating your Xbox will freezes very often. on this xbox i tryed the X-clamp mod but that did not work on its own it still freezes

, so i tryed the cardboard fix still freezes , so in the end i tryed the 12v fan ( one fan) mod i cut the red and black wires on the fan plug and wired it to a External 12v charger and yes it will be noisy but it works for me, its all to do with cold air flow the more air in and out of the console the better,so try all 3 mod at once. my son plays on it all day now with no freezing

Thats pretty epic, but if you fail the warranty is over isn't it?

How much did the faulty 360 cost? Just a sense of curiousity.

The freezes are the precursor to the RROD, if it's still under warrenty then better to send it to MS for repair.

the xbox cost me $16 or £13 in by money, not a lot for a now working 360 LOL.

the warranty was over a long time ago (2005)

they extended it for the RROD to 3 years

the warranty sticker was removed bofore me by someone else.
i called ms and they wanted more money to fix there fault
