psp headphones can't adjust volume!help me!

hi, i've got my 2nd psp (1st 1 was ols and buttons blocked..) now i've got a slim and lite 1. When i try to adjust the volume when my headphones are plugged in there is this grey speaker image on the lower left bottom of the screen.. it's not the headphones, it doesn't work with other headphones eiter... please somebody help me!! email me at ************

yes i use them now, but i just want to fix my psp somehow.
