OS: Windows XP SP3

Xbox 360 and Win XP SP3 connection

I have a Sprint wireless EVDO-CDMA connection card for internet. No modems or routers and any of that crap. I have my 360 and desktop connected via ethernet cable. I have been unsuccesful in getting WMP 11 to recognize my 360's existence, or vise versa. I've yet to try Zune, however. What I need to know is, first, how can I connect the two machines to start streaming media, and second, will XBL work with the type of internet connection I have (granted its a clear day and I get good signal).

Any help would be appreciated. Below is a general diagram of what I have going on:

Hi Apartment_Trash,

This download will enable your XBox to connect with WMP 11 on your PC. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/pcsetup/xpsp2.htm

Re: Xbox 360 and Win XP SP3 connection

I looked into this a few weeks ago, I have a feeling it depends on what version of the Xbox 360 dashboard you are running. If you are running the pre-NXE (New Xbox Experience) dashboard, you should be fine with the solution Aus_Karlos posted. But if your 360 is running the NXE (with those little annoying Avatars), then you would have to upgrade your OS to Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate. This is what I suspect, read the links in the thread below:
