[SOLVED] ps2 to ps3 game saves

I just recently bought a 60 gig ps3 for the backwards compatibility, and am catching up on some old ps2 games that I missed. I have found game saves at some sites that were created specifically for the ps3, but there are other saves I would like to have that I am unable to use. Is there anyway of converting them without the mem. card adapter and a ps2 so the ps3 will recognize them?

No, it's impossible. The save holds information for the games settings, characters, system setting, etc so it's literally impossible. You'd have to literally rewrite the code within the save which would take weeks since you have no idea how to do so.

Also, we both know how you're getting the memory into the PS3/PS2, please don't discuss piracy related issues here.

Thank you for the reply, but it's not piracy what I'm talking about. I was referring to saves at gamefaqs.com that are listed out to the public, and using a flash drive to transfer them over. I don't understand how that is piracy, but if I'm wrong please let me know that was not my intent.

Okay I read up on it more and I cannot find it anywhere saying that copying game saves is in any type of violation. If you can find it please show me, if not don't be so quick to point a finger at someone and call them a thief.
