Help with PS3
Hi,
I just bought a 50" Sanyo Plasma tv and I hooked my PS3 up using an HDMI cable and it works great but the problem is when I turn the system on the audio and screen makes a loud pop and when u turn the system off it makes that loud pop again. Is it in any way damaging my tv??? |

Re: Help with PS3
Nice TV, although I would adjust the Display settings again. (For HDMI)
Then when it asks for audio, also put HDMI. If it still makes that loud pop then try this: Use the regular wires. (Don't know what you call them - The colour coded ones: yellow, white and red) ONLY FOR THE AUDIO I haven't tried this, but it actually should work. HDMI Display Scart (I think) Audio The colour cables may need to go into some adapter. (the plug is a long shape and has weird shaped sides) OTHER than that. Try making sure that if you have a surround sound system as well, then only one volume is up and the other is lowered to 0 then muted. Make sure your TV channels work as well, could be static or something? Any questions, message me. Last edited by WAKEUNDEAD; 04-18-2009 at 05:51 PM. |

Re: Help with PS3
Thanks for the reply... well its hard to explain but the pop affects the screen to, its like the screen flickers real hard and makes a long line run across it and it pops real loud like the screen and audio blew or something, almost like the screen is about to go out or something

Re: Help with PS3
Ohhh, hmmm.
Well, I guess if it only happens when the PS3 is plugged in then: Take all the plugs out of the PS3, switch the TV on, then put the plugs back in. Also when switching off, try putting your PS3 just on standby, if it still happens then take all the plugs out, and switch your TV off after. I would convert to Scart for a while and try it on a different TV, it shouldn't cause any problems. Then use Scart back on the Plasma. If this doesn't happen on other TVs, it's probably a setting on your Plasma. If it does, then try to check the cables leading from the PS3 to TV - Could actually be caused by a really bad cable, so try and replace it. Hope this helps. |
