cant connect to ps3 online via wireless

hiii,

when i enter my internet details into network settings on my ps3 and try to connect to the internet it wont connect and comes up with some error code , i can connect through ethernet but need wireless for upstairs , ive tried manually entering the information and automatically but it still wont connect ,

i have a netgear box

would be greatfull for any help

what the Error Code that appears on your PS3?
What is the model number of your Netgear Router?
Do you have an Encryption Key on your Router? such as WPA/WEP

That "some error code" is probably the most important bit of information you can possibly give here. :P

Hi, iTz MaGiiKz.

Have you checked your PC's firewall at all? That could play a major role in the solving of this problem, lol.

The error code is : 8013013E

ermm my Netgear box is : 54 MPBS Wireless ADSL modem router DG834G v3 , sorry i just wrote it all down :S

and yeahh i do have a wpa key which i have written down :)

According to recent threads relating to your issue, I'd so power cycle both your Playstation 3, and your router.

make sure the WPA password is correct (it might be caps sensitive)

make sure the PS3 is set on connecting to a WPA encrypted router not a WEP one.
you might need to portforward your router
