retrieving lost ranking on call of duty xbox live

Hi all
I was playing call of duty on xbox live when game was disconnected from server, subsequently I have lost level ranking of 32 and it has reset to rank 1. Does anyone know a way to retrieve the data for the level 32 ranking.

Hello, welcome to TSF

What happened to you I have never heard of and from what I know you can not get it back, did you get the level 32 in one game? Because I know that if you get a rank during a game and shut off the xbox disconnect whatever it doesn't count

Example: You are playing your level 22 and you go up to 23 and you shut off your xbox you will be level 22 when you turn it on.

which call of duty were you playing? Modern Warfare? or World at War?

the online ranking system is all online. reseting your xbox won't change it. what could have happened(my theory :P) is that the online matchmaking servers have detected a problem with the host and some of its participants and thought that maybe they were cheating. and reset their stats. it might have happened to everyone in that particular game.

i do know for a fact that the COD servers have that power in addition to console banning(your console sends its unique ID to all servers and devices that it connects to...and they can just flip a 0 to 1 and poof you can't connect to them :D).

This has happened to both me and two friends.
But out drops weren't so big, just 4 or 5 ranks.
It was still pretty irritating though, sadly we didn't retrieve it, just had to play enough to get that high enough again.
