hi my ps3 60gb has just stopped working all was well then when i went to switch it on i just get blue light (as usual) three quick bleeps fan starts then after about 1 second all goes quiet and red light flashes. when in push power on button again red light goes to stand by (stops blinking) and then the same happens again if try to power on. I have exactly the problem if i simply remove the hdd. I took it apart to remove the game stuck in it (F1) and of course sony dont waant to know now.
Any ideas anyone ![]() ![]()

Send it to Rockford PC They fixed my 60gb laser for pretty cheap. I had it back in under a week. The YLOD (flashing lights) is listed on their site as repairable

You're pretty much screwed, you should have never opened it to fix it yourself, Sony would have done that, free. You have to buy a new Playstation 3 now, because there is no way they will fix it now, or go with the alternative, pay 120$ to get it fixed when you could have got it fixed for free.

Zomg1!!!1ononeone!1!, you violated the warranty? Time to call headquarters at once!
That's a shame, that means even if we do find a solution that would determine a bad HDD, it's going to cost you. |
