x-box 360 a/v problems

I have no video...have sound but screen is black. I've tried calling x-box and they want $100 to fix it. It's not the cables, is there any other fixes for this??
Thanks

Re: x-box 360 a/v problems

If it's out of warranty, then I'm afraid you'll have to send it to Microsoft for the $100 repair since it's not related to the red rings of death, but it's still hardware oriented. Or, for just a little more, order a refurbished 360 from Tiger Direct for around $150, then if you want, send your broken one into Microsoft, and sell it on ebay or Craigslist for the same price once you get it back.

Re: x-box 360 a/v problems

do you get any lights flash on the front of the xbox? Have you tried plugging into another TV or different medium... HDTV/VGA/etc. btw what is your connection? normal AV? ie 3 plug rca. or 5plug HDTV.

i suggest another TV, because your input on the TV could be crap :P (lack of a better word)
