XBOX 360 Warranty Help

My xbox recently broke, i got the E65 error. The warranty was voided on the xbox because i opened the case. I sent it back to microsoft for repair just in case they send me a new one back. Usually i get an e-mail saying that they have fixed it and are sending it back to me. I checked the xbox service website and it says they have dispatched it back to me, but they have not sent me an e-mail to tell me this.
Does this mean that they are sending me a new one or does it mean they have found out that the warranty has voided?

I know this is not much of a problem but any help will be much appreciated.

Maybe its a bill wrapped around a large cinderblock so they can chuck it at your house?

sorry yea its probably your xbox but you'd think they would email you? I never owned a 360 so I never went through any of those hassles

Turned out that they sent me a brand new xbox even though the one i sent back was voided. Good Times!!!!

Maybe Microsoft knows how bad it screwed up with the RROD thing so they will fix any xbox sent to them?

LOL, did they give you a free month's worth of Xbox Live to boot? These RROD's are so bad that when they receive any dead 360 at the tech depot, they probably just turn around and send you a refurbished one.

Check on Xboxlive.com to see the warranty status on the one they gave you. You may have to register it against your Xbox Live account to see if it's effective, and if they gave you a new or extended warranty with the replacement unit. Good to know.
