Saving From Game Disk To Xbox 360?

Hey,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to save a game from the disk to my 360's hard drive?

Is there any reason why.

This method is mainly linked to pirated games that are downloaded and stored on the Xbox HDD to be played.

TSF rules are very strict when it comes to pirated games and will not offer help to users with the intent to pirate games or any other form of software.

I don't pirate games.

I just heard that you could save your games to the hard drive instead of using the disk(except for verification) and I fancied having a go at it to be honest.

To my knowledge there is no legal way to copy across the game contents without mod chipping the Xbox.

Yes, you can do this. This feature was added along with the new dashboard interface(i think). My brother uses it on games like Gears of War 2 and Prince of Persia. Games load quicker and the disc doesn't have to spin in the drive. But it still needs to be in the drive so that the xbox can verify that you actually have a copy of the game. It's a cool feature, but games take up a lot of space.

It's simple to do. Make sure the game you want to install is in the xbox. Then under the "my xbox" tab thing on your dashboard, find your game, hit 'Y' and then hit 'install to hard drive'. Simple as that. Just make sure you have enough Hard drive space. Most games take up 6GB or more.

Well there you go. I dont own a Xbox myself but its about time a game console has opted to install a game to the HDD. Now you can store those games disc away so they wont get damaged.

Re: Saving From Game Disk To Xbox 360?

I just bought my Xbox 360 but it doesn't have the NXE dashboard, it has the Pre-NXE. So there is no "My Xbox" tab. Anyone know how to upload a game to their HD with this dashboard?

I tried xbox.com but no help. I want to upload my Fable II cause I've read the graphics are better and it doesn't take as much time to load.

Thanks in advance!

Can you hook up your xbox to the internet? Because it will just download. Also, look here:
