Xbox 360 Coolers
I have a question about Xbox 360 coolers.
I have one, and I've used it for awhile. It has a separate power connection so it doesn't interfere with the Xbox 360's power cable. It sounds like a jet when I turn it on...Very loud... But I heard that they can extend the life of your 360. I've had the red ring once before, and I got a brand new Xbox from Microsoft. But the thing is, I hate all the noise, and I've been told sometimes that coolers can actually cause more problems than they solve. Can someone move me in the right direction? Should I keep using it or stop using it? |

Re: Xbox 360 Coolers
You say MS gave you a new 360?
is it one with the HDMI port in the back? If so, then you probably don't need to use the cooler, the ones with the HMDI port in the back have smaller chips inside (I believe) so they are less prone to overheating. I personally wouldn't use a 3rd party cooler, If your 360 is in a well ventilated space, that should be plenty anyway. |
