ps3 and hotmail

I cant use my hotmail email account on ps3, it says to allow cookies, which i do , and it still wont work?

Yeah I had the same problem, I guess the browser just doesn't support it. If you want E-mail on you PS3 I recommended putting a linux OS on it

My setup is like this
I use outlook

I have my hotmail emails forwarded to gmail using Izymail
then I have my gmail account forward those emails to Outllook

So just use a gmail account and forward you hotmail to it

thats because products that are not OS's or gaming consoles that microsoft make are poorly made or require you to buy extra stuff that you can find free on a lot of other sites

They may be using a user agent filter, meaning Microsoft's hotmail web server may be saying "GO AWAY" to the Playstation 3 web browser.

They use a Sony-branded NetFront web browser.

They could also be missing a feature, or have removed a feature to prevent modification of the PS3's firmware as exemplified in the PSP's (yes, PSP) update history. Look at the following:

The new microsoft windows live platform that hotmail sits on uses embedded java scripts to function, the PS3 web browser has limited java support so cannot recognise some of the commands it is being passed.
Unfortunately this is the same with several websites, myspace doesnt work either or any other site that uses java to issue 'postback' commands.

One could disable scripting and attempt to use a low-fi version of the site if it in fact exists on the web server. Some sites work fine without scripting, and just work around it but many require it to function.
