X-BOX wireless network problem
I had an X-BOX Live working wireless on a Linksys router at home. The X-BOX was taken to another city and connected in a motel with wi-fi. Since bringing the X-BOX back home it will not connect to the home network. Did the wi-fi connection do something to block the home network from communicating with the X-BOX again?? Thanks for any help on this matter.

Re: X-BOX wireless network problem
Assuming the wireless adapter has a red light, go to your network settings page on the xbox 360, search for wireless networks and connect to your home router. Make sure all settings are automatic.

Re: X-BOX wireless network problem
I am getting a red light on the wireless adapter. I tried automatic settings and it still rejects it. Could the wireless adapter be bad?? I talked to a Linksys rep and they had me change some settings, but still nothing. They said it might be the router or the modem. I hard wired the X-BOX to the router and it works fine. It's just not working wireless. HELP, our teenager is playing X-BOX in the living room now and driving us crazy!!

Re: X-BOX wireless network problem
You're going to have to check your gatewaay adress (router number something like 192.168.1.1) and input it manually same with the IP Address just make up a number like 192.168.1.123
sometimes the automatic settings store the last router it was at and won't change to the new or old one. So you just input it manually and it works like a charm |
