60gig PS3 DONT READ DISK FAIL TO LOAD HELP
Hi my 60gig ps3 was working fine then got new updat ,then it cant load any blueray or ps2 ps3 games i cant see the disk icon an on screen i see on the top right corner a circle like its loading but i dont hear the drive spining at all like it dead I tryid format an restore an cleaning lens still nothing all this because update is it comon or its just me , i wonder if i remove hard drive an format it whit my pc if it would get rid of firmwarm update an work thanks

Hi scott, welcome to TSF.
It might sometimes do that if the console was turned off before the update was complete. If you don't want to lose your contents, now would be a nice time to back it up. (System > Back up) How to do a hard reset (will erase everything off the drive) 1. Flip the switch on the back of the console to off, then flick it back on. 2. Hold the power button down until you hear 3 beeps 3. Go through the set-up steps, then do a full format. (System > Format) 4. Restore your backup data. Most often this solves problems associated with corrupt updates. If it doesn't, you can contact Sony and they'll help you sort it out.
