Xbox 360 wont read discs anylonger

recently my 360 quite reading everything games and dvds, my roommates 360 got the rrod so i tried swapping out the players and his in my console will play dvds but anytime i try to play a game i get a white screen with "to play this disc please insert it into a xbox 360" in multiple languages. so i am wondering is there any way to correct this or is there someplace i can purchase a new drive that will work properly with my console. (the only reason i opened either is due to the fact they were both out of warrenty and my buddies was bought refurb's)

found a solution if any one else runs into this problem google: "Modas POT calibration instructions" might save you the $50-80 dollars to replace the drive yourself or the $100+ it would cost to send to microsoft

i got the same prob ... i got 2 box and try to change the drive but its strange ... the drive did the same prob on my other xbox ... im looking your google link right now ... tell me if you got the solution
